This “Guilty” top is caged in the front to symbolize how trapped we feel inside when we are not freed of guilt. This top provides support and has adjustable straps and a clasp in the back. This top is for women who aren’t afraid to wear a revealing style.

The “Guilty” bottoms have a cheeky, but high cut with a main elastic band that hugs the upper waist. This thick elastic band matches the straps of the top, symbolizing the restriction and anxiety we feel when we experience guilt. When you wear this style, we want you to remember to live a guilt-free life.

The two colors “Guilty” comes in are Midnight (Black) and Mocha (a mix between nude and olive).

Guilt is great at killing your joy for things.. whether it’s eating that chocolate bar or talking to your ex. I personally still struggle with guilt, maybe it’s from how I was raised as a child, to always be my best and to strive to be perfect.. I needed to be obedient, get straight A’s, and never stray from the “correct path” in life.

My mom instructed me on the “right way to live”. Even when I started Siempre Golden, we argued all the time that this was not the path I should take. She said it was a silly dream that wouldn’t be a financially secure career. I felt guilty that my goals did not align with what my mom wanted me to do. Despite the guilt, I pursued Siempre and gave it a shot. I am grateful that my mom taught me how to have a good work ethic and resilience.

Despite my mom’s expectations of me, there are now many times when I feel guilt for not living up to my own standards. As they say, “You are your own worst critic.”

We must learn how to have enough self-compassion and release some of the pressure we put on ourselves. We must treat ourselves how we would console a child.. our inner child! Instead of punishing ourselves by feeling guilty or withholding ourselves from whether it be that candy bar, an ex, or a dream.. we need to communicate with our inner child and figure out why we want something. We need to then figure out if this “thing” that we want is good for our “wellbeing”. Guilt can also be experienced when your short-term desires are not aligned with who you want to be in the long run.

“Guilt is to the spirit, what pain is to the body.”

“Guilt is the worst demon to bear, strangling you from the inside of your body. Apologize, Make amends, Let go, and Breathe free.”

“No amount of guilt can solve the past, and no amount of anxiety can change the future.”
